Stand Against The Sectarian Gangs And Put An End To The Killing Of
Women Held in Baghdad at the IFC headquarter, a press conference on the recent escalation of the assassinations of women by armed gangs, particularly in the city of Basra (500 Km south of Baghdad). Fryal Akbar; head of the Woman Bureau said: "We must put an end to the killing of women. Women today have every right to defend herself against the religious and sectarian gangs by all means". She also stated that IFC did not and will not stand idly watching such crimes are being committed while the criminals are getting away with it without consequences. "From our experience; these gangs will not put an end to their crimes unless serious action is taken" she added.
