The May Day Committee Installs Tents to Mark the Event in Basra and Samara
The May Day committee in Basra (500 Km south of Baghdad) and samara (120 Km north of Baghdad) install tents to celebrate this international day. Many organizations such as General Federation of Workers Councils and Unions in Iraq (GFWCUI), General Union of Oil Workers (GUOW), General Union of Port Workers (GUPT)Anti Oil Law Front, the Displaced Families Community and Iraq Freedom Congress participated in the event. Speeches were delivered, pamphlets were distributed and sweets were given to the peple in an expression of happiness to this important day. Also a festival in the Medicine factory was held in Samara to mark the event, in which speeches and poems were presented to the participants. |
