No To A Political Process That Is Trapped Within Sectarianism, Racism And Ethnic Division Boycott The Fake Elections. They Will Only Reproduce The Same Forces That Wreaked Devastation And Havoc In Iraq The political process is the occupation’s plan to impose its inhumane agenda on Iraqi society. The architects of the occupation have built the foundation of Iraq’s political process on the pillars of sectarian and ethnic forces to legitimize its crimes in Iraq. Over the past seven years the gap between those in political power and ordinary people has remained as wide as ever. The occupation administration in Iraq does not share nor represent the common interests and aspirations of Iraqis. In addition, the coming "election" does not resemble any democratic election in modern history. It does, however, represent political hypocrisy and false bravado about exercising democracy. The occupation administration in Iraq intends to salvage whatever it can of its collapsed project at any cost. And in order to do so, it seeks to preserve and sustain the political process at the expense of the interests of the people. The occupation administration in Iraq uses the election as a means for continuing this process and to market lies to the world that it brought democracy to Iraq. On the other hand, the forces in the political process do not seek much out of the elections -- other than to deceive the public and sustain its presence in power through killings and arrests, abductions and corruption. In other words, the occupation administration seeks continued perpetuation of mafia and militia law over Iraqi society. Following the past three general “elections,” the same forces have remained in power. The daily bloody events that are taking place on the eve of the election: the military attack on the headquarters of political parties, assassinations of candidates and banning candidates under various headings, are evidence that there is no place for non-sectarian powers and their militias in "the new Iraq" after the farce elections. This is not an election. It’s a fiasco that seeks to legitimize its power. The election results are already prepared and the same sectarian, ethnic, racist government which robbed people of their human identity and placed Iraq's fate on an erupting volcano will remain in power. Iraq Freedom Congress calls on all Iraqis to boycott this election. The people should not be fooled by it and should not believe that it will bring them safety, stability and prosperity. In fact, this election will only bring more chaos to Iraq. Iraq Freedom Congress calls on Iraqis to rally around its banner of freedom, security and prosperity. The current political process is the cause of political and security chaos in Iraq. The road to safety is to demolish this process and form a secular and non-ethnic transitional government in which security, bread and freedom are at the top of its agenda.
