Jalal Talibani claims democracy, while his security police in Sulaymania bans the freedom of publications and distribution of the political statements
On December 2 at 3:00 pm the security police in Sulaymania have arrested 3 members of the Worker Communist Party of Iraq (Zemnako Aziz, Kameran Latif, and Saed Mustafa) after being seen distributing two statements, one of them was denouncing the ongoing corruption in the government and the other was the letter of the secretary general of WCPI regarding the call to end of the of tension between WCPI and Patriotic United Kurdistan. The source added that the statements were well received by the mass which made the police arrest the distributors; they were informed that if they ever intended to do such thing they should get permission from the local government. It is known that Kurdish cities have witnessed a wave of mass protest lately against corruption and lack of social services. However, those protests were confronted in a harsh way by means of arresting many protesters.
