Iraq Freedom Congress Visits The United States of America

In response to an invitation made by the United for Peace and Justice in the United States of America and US Labor against the War a delegation of Iraq freedom Congress had visited Washington from September 24 to September 27, 2005. To attend a rally and demonstration organized to denounce the war on Iraq and end the occupation.

On September 24 the delegates attended a rally organized by the U.S. labor against the war at the AFL-CIO building. In the beginning of the event, the organizers welcomed the delegation and invited Amjad al-Jawhary, representative of the Federation of the Worker Councils and Unions in Iraq in North American to deliver his speech, who offered deep condolences of the Iraqi people to the victims and families of hurricane Katrina. He mentioned that a government with such a poor response to its own people is not reliable and cannot be trusted. Then he indicated that the Iraq freedom Congress is leading massive demonstrations in Iraq across the country in the same day that these demonstrations are carried on around the world in continuous efforts to end the occupation, stating that the only way to bring stability, prosperity, and freedom to the Iraqi people is by ending the occupation immediately. Following his speech Yamakawa son, had read the appeal of the solidarity with the Iraqi civil resistance committee in Japan to stand by the Iraqi people and Iraq freedom Congress to intensify the efforts to end the war and occupation.

In the end of the event, the demonstrators had gathered and march the streets in a very massive number headed towards the main demonstration that was attended by more than 500,000 demonstrators according to the media. 

Iraq freedom Congress had a tent in the main rally called the Iraqi tent, where literatures and DVDs were showcased, which was soon became the focus of the people to wonder and ask about Iraq Freedom Congress, the nature and aims of the organization and the most possible solution to the current devastating situation.  The delegates were able to explain and give clear details to convince the people regarding the cause of the Iraqi freedom Congress, which made them, make their financial contribution to the Iraq freedom Congress support box.
